‘Pakistan vs Sri Lanka’s first odi match has been canceled due to continuous rain. The game is not possible due to the ground wet outfield & match abandoned without a ball being bowled. The 2nd ODI match will play on 29 September, Sunday on the same venue.
Rain spoils the play as Karachi was set to host a 1st ODI for the first time after 10 years. Cricket fans are really disappoint of bad weather for cricket as match washed out with out a ball bowled. Today as match icc officials come to ground at 3:00 pm rain drizzling. The toss was delayed due to heavy rains. Rain stopped after long but due to the heavy rain, the National Stadium karachi seems like a pond. Umpires and match referees announced the cancellation of the match due to the ground and outfield wet.
The second match of the series between the two teams will be played on Sunday. Green Shirts win more matches in one-day internationals matches against Islanders.
